Who doesn’t love to save paper? Today I’ll share with you my trick for adding a layer behind a greeting without using extra paper. Using the layering card stock piece of my card, I’ve used the Stitched Shapes Framelits and cut a size bigger than my greeting for a layer behind the greeting. Just run it through your Big Shot keeping the framelit away from the outside edge of your paper. Then assemble your card.
Another trick: Have you ever stamped a greeting inside your card and it wasn’t quite right? Stamp it on another scrap of paper, cut it out with a coordinating thinlit, and use adhesive to put it inside your card right over your mistake. To make it stand out even more, use a bit of a sponge (I cut mine into 4 pieces) with a clothespin attached to keep your fingers away from the ink. Sponge around the outside edge of your paper.
Place your layered greeting on the front of your card with dimensionals. I used the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. It has a variety of greetings–some for the outside of your cards, some for the inside, making it a very versatile stamp set.
Stamp a similar greeting on the front of your envelope for a completed look.
