The Dinoroar Suite is great for making kids’ cards as well as cards for the young at heart.
The dinosaur on the front of the card was cut from the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper with dies from the Dino Dies. The greeting was stamped in Old Olive Ink.
On the envelope I stamped the dinosaur in Old Olive and Mango Melody inks.
The inside of the card holds a surprise. It’s a pop up card! This is a fun addition to a card and very easy to do.
These two pieces of Designer Series Paper show how to fold the pop up. Using a 9 x 2 piece of Designer Series Paper, first fold it in half with the right sides on the outside. Then fold again as in the bottom photo above–just fold each side back to the center. I chose this paper from the Painted Poppies Designer Series Paper since I wanted a piece of light weight Old Olive paper without any distracting designs for this card. I thought this was perfect.
Here is a picture from above. Only the outside squares will be attached to the card. The middle two sections will not be attached to the card.
Card Recipe:
- Card Base: Pool Party 8 1/2 x 5 1/2 scored at 4 1/4.
- Attach a piece of Designer Series Paper 5 1/2 x 1 7/8 to the front left side of the card.
- Die cut a dinosaur from the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper and pop up with dimensionals on a piece of Whisper White Card Stock 2 1/2 x 3.
- Adhere this to a piece of Mango Melody Card Stock 2 3/4 x 3 1/4. Pop up this focal point on the card front with dimensionals.
- Stamp the greeting in Old Olive ink.
- For the inside of the card, adhere a piece of Whisper White card stock 5 1/4 x 4 to each side. Make the pop out piece as shown above. Die cut 4 dinosaurs from the Designer Series Paper and adhere one to each of the sections. Attach the left side of the pop up piece to the left side of the card and the right side to the right side of the card. I die cut an extra dinosaur and adhered it to the card itself. I stamped the words in Old Olive.
I hope you’ll try this fun pop up card using the Dino Days Bundle and the Dinoroar Designer Series Paper or any stamp set of your choice!
